Job Description:

  • Accurately and efficiently move products and materials throughout the distribution process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals, and environment.
  • Operate various types of forklifts to move products through the distribution
    process including unloading, put away, picking, and loading process, which
    may include hand loading and unloading of containers.
  • Prepare product for inbound receipt and/or shipment including palletizing,
    re-palletizing, and carton labeling, ensuring that all warehouse and customer
    requirements are met.
  • Other related and similar duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Understand verbal and written instructions. Able to effectively communicate with the team.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order to prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Physical presence at the designated worksite, work a 40-hour work schedule, maintain consistent and acceptable attendance, and work overtime as required, including weekend and holiday work based on business demands.
  • Pay close attention to detail and follow instructions and procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for other team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Successfully complete and pass required Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and test and maintain appropriate PIV licensing.
  • Use Radio Frequency (RF) units.
  • Able to work in a machine-based environment.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple assignments/tasks simultaneously and demonstrate organizational skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

Perform repetitive tasks as required.

 

Perform pre-shift stretching (includes: bending, reaching, and stretching with hands, arm, legs, and feet and bending and twisting waist) as required for the position.
